Chante Moore is an American R&B singer and songwriter. She has released five studio albums, including her debut album Precious, which was certified gold. Her single “Love’s Taken Over” was a Top 10 R&B hit in 1992, and she has since released a string of successful albums. Moore has also appeared on a number of television shows and films, including the reality series R&B Divas: Atlanta.
Chante Moore was born in San Francisco, California on February 17, 1967. Her mother was a singer and her father was a jazz musician. Moore spent her childhood in Oakland, California and attended Oakland High School. She started singing at the age of four and eventually landed a record deal with the independent label Silas Records.
Moore released her debut album, Precious, in 1992. The album was certified gold and spawned the hit single “Love’s Taken Over”, which peaked at number nine on the Billboard R&B chart.
