Kevin Liles is an American record executive and entrepreneur. He is the founder of KWL Enterprises, a consulting and investment firm, and was the former Executive Vice President of Warner Music Group. He was also the former President & CEO of Def Jam Recordings, and the co-founder of the urban clothing line, D.C.P.D. Clothing. Liles is a highly successful and influential figure in the music industry and beyond.

Kevin Liles was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1968. He grew up in a single-parent household and had to work hard to make ends meet. After graduating from high school, he attended Towson University where he studied Business and Music. During his time at Towson, he worked at a local radio station and interned at a record label. After college, he moved to New York City and began working at Def Jam Recordings.

In 1998, Liles was appointed President & CEO of Def Jam Recordings. During his time at Def Jam, he worked with some of the biggest names in music such as Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Kanye West. He was also instrumental in the success of the label’s rebranding and expansion. In 2004, Liles left Def Jam to become the Executive Vice President of Warner Music Group. At Warner, he was responsible for the label’s strategic partnerships and acquisitions. In 2009, he left Warner and founded KWL Enterprises, a consulting and investment firm.
