Iron Man originally appeared in the comic book Tales Of Suspense in March 1963. He gained his own title five years later, in May 1968, in the debut issue of the Iron Man comic book.

Robert Downey, Jr.,full name is Robert John Downey, Jr. 

Downey was up in New York City's Greenwich Village in a creative family; his father was a well-known underground filmmaker who offered the five-year-old Downey his first role.

Robert Downey, Jr.  dropping out of high school in California, Downey returned to New York City to pursue an acting career. 

Robert Downey, Jr. received various accolades and was nominated for an Academy Award for best actor.

Downey Jr. received critical recognition in 2008 for his parts in two summer blockbusters. He played Tony Stark in the film Iron Man.
